White Composite Fillings

Composite resins, or “tooth-colored fillings,” provide durability and resistance to fracture in small- to mid-size fillings that need to withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing. They can be used on either front or back teeth and are completely safe. We only use high quality composite materials and believe they are superior to amalgam fillings. Our offices are 100% mercury free.

Invisalign® Teeth Retainers

Patients who go through orthodontic treatment are instructed on the importance of wearing a retainer after their teeth alignment treatment is complete. However, one of the reasons we see Invisalign candidates in our office is because they didn't wear a retainer, reversing years of orthodontic treatment. Over time, your teeth, gums and jaw can become misaligned if a retainer is not used properly.

How Invisalign Retainers Work

Invisalign is a very customizable product and just like the clear aligner treatments, Invisalign retainers are custom made to fit the shape of your teeth and gums. Your Premier dentist will create a custom Invisalign retainer to help keep your teeth in place after you finish Invisalign or Invisalign Go treatment.

Just like a traditional retainer, these Invisalign retainers are designed to be worn while you sleep to help keep your teeth from shifting back to their natural position. By using a clear aligner retainer like this, you can ensure that the months of hard work you put into wearing, cleaning and maintaining your Invisalign aligners are not lost after your treatment is complete.

Caring for an Invisalign Retainer

Your Premier Dental team will go over the details with you in the office for caring for your Invisalign retainer, including how to clean your Invisalign retainer, when and how long you should wear it each day, and options for Invisalign retainer replacement if you lose it.

Why are straight teeth so important?

Correcting an abnormal bite will create a nice-looking smile, but more importantly, orthodontic treatment results in a healthier mouth. Not correcting an abnormal bite could result in further oral health problems, including:

  • Tooth decay
  • Gum disease
  • Tooth loss
  • Affected speech and/or chewing
  • Abnormal wear to tooth enamel
  • Jaw problems

It is important to wear your retainer after Invisalign treatment to avoid your teeth developing some of the common dental issues associated with misaligned teeth.

New to Invisalign?

Invisalign takes a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movements your dentist or orthodontist plans for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks until your treatment is complete. You’ll achieve a great smile with little interference in your daily life. The best part about the process is most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
